Willa Jefferson-Stokes
When Willa completed radiation treatment in late 2008, her boss suggested that she participate in the Stepping Out To Celebrate Life fashion show. She attended the Volunteer Kick-off meeting in January 2009 to learn more about To Celebrate Life and modeled in Stepping Out that September.
In January 2010 she joined the Board of Directors and was elected Recording Secretary. She also is very active in fundraising and is a member of the Fund Development Committee. She says” I was a little reticent to join the Board because I wasn't sure how I could contribute but I saw it as another learning opportunity that would lead me to a greater contribution.”
Willa serves as Associate Medical Group Administrator for the Kaiser San Rafael Medical Center and represents The Permanente Medical Group in all capital and strategic planning projects.
Her other volunteer activities include leadership in her church in San Francisco, her sorority, Alpha Kappa Alpha and the IVY AKAdemy Foundation San Francisco.
