Kim WimerKim Wimer

Kim first learned of To Celebrate Life when, after her first radiation treatment, she was given a “coupon” for massage and guided imagery sessions provided by one of the Foundation’s grantees. She was amazed that a local foundation provided so many services to those going through breast cancer treatment.

Kim was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2007 and completed treatment in 2008. Because she had early stage microscopic breast cancer, she considers herself a “poster girl” for the importance of having routine digital mammograms. Her outcome was successful because her cancer was caught so early.

Kim was a model in the 2008 Stepping Out fashion show. She volunteered for the 2009 Rally To Celebrate Life and Esurance- Harbor Point Tennis Classic, which benefits the Foundation. In 2010 she worked at Tee It Up golf tournament, Esurance Tennis Classic and Stepping Out committees.

Kim grew up in Washington State and moved to Marin after high school. She attended college and graduate school at UC Santa Barbara and has a K-12 Teaching Credential. After spending most of her career in sales management, she is currently a self employed graphic designer and graphic applications software trainer. Most of her design work is with disease management and medical device companies.
